Registration:
A non-refundable fee per student is
required yearly at time of registration. There is only 1 fee for
students doing dance & music. Registration is ½ price for each
additional family member unless you are getting a discounted rate to
start with.
Payment of Fees:
Tuition must be paid by a series of
postdated checks dated the first day of each month (eg: Sept. 1,
Oct. 1, etc.), by automatic withdrawal from checking acct., or by
using a credit/debit card. Checks should be made payable to the
location where you are taking your lessons, Mtn. View Ballet,
Etc., Batesville Ballet, Etc., or Izard County Dance Academy.
All checks must be received upon the first day of classes to confirm
class time. All returned checks/NSF on automatic withdrawal or
denied debit cards will be charged a $15 NSF fee. Any checks that are returned to us or any unpaid balances of costume fees, tuition, etc. will be automatically withdrawn from your checking account. A post dated
check/credit card/automatic withdrawal of $20 will be due Nov. 1 for
costume deposit. The balance to be paid Feb. 1. Also, a post dated
check/credit card, etc. of $25 will be due May 1 for the Recital Fee
(which you then receive 4 tickets to the performance). See
below what our refund/withdrawal policy is.
Anyone who does not have a checking
account or a credit card, 1st & last month tuition is
required and a $3 processing fee per month is added.
Costume and recital fees are to be paid up front at time or
registration. Any payments paid after 15th of the
month for cash students, will be charged a $15 late fee.
See below what our
refund/withdrawal policy is.
Dress Code:
Required dance wear and dance shoes
must be worn to all classes. Failure to wear required dancewear to
class can result in students being asked to sit out the class.
Repeated failure to wear required dancewear can result in
termination of lessons. Hair is to be back in a tight pony tail.
Please no wispy bangs. Loose hair is such a distraction to the
dancer and hinders their learning.
Attendance:
A minimum attendance standard will be
required. If a student misses more that 4 classes without
notice given to the school office or by calling
1-877-GOT-NADT, the school reserves the right to terminate
lessons.
Care of Students:
The school is not responsible for
providing before or after class care for students. Students are not
to be left at the school for excessive time periods before or after
their classes. Parents of younger children (ages 6 and under) are to stay in the waiting room until their child is escorted to class and MUST be back at least 5 minutes before classes are over, so that your child can be given directly to you. No child, whatever age, is to wait outside for their parent/guardian.
Injuries:
Parents, legal guardians of minors,
students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for
any injury sustained on school property resulting from dance
activity or any other activity conducted by the students before,
during or after class time.
Withdrawals and Refunds:
There is a
two-month minimum for all lessons. One-month notice from
the first of the month is required to discontinue any classes.
Withdrawal must be done in person and will not be accepted over
the phone or by email. Withdrawal must be done at the school office in
Batesville and with the teacher/director in Mtn. View or Izard Co.
when there is no receptionist. Withdrawal must occur within the
first 7 days of the month. . If a child is withdrawing and would like to continue dancing for that 30 days, that is acceptable. No withdrawals will be accepted after
April 1 for dance. To withdraw from classes a parent or adult
student must:
1. Inform school administration in person, and
2. Complete and
sign a withdrawal form provided by the school office.
All unprocessed checks, dated after
the one-month notice period, will be returned. No refunds will be
given for costume fees after Nov. 1 or for recital fee after April 1.
If a student withdraws after costumes have been ordered, they
forfeit their costume. The Mtn. View Ballet, Etc., Batesville
Ballet, Etc. and the Izard County Dance Academy reserve the right to
terminate lessons to any students without notice. In such a case a
refund for all unused lessons will be given.
