On Oct. 8,
2002, Nikki tragically died in a car accident. She was one
of the original members of NADT and last spring we dedicated
an original ballet, "Footprints" in her memory. This
wonderful piece was choreographed by Patrick Crommett and
will be presented again by NADT at a Fund Raiser in November
2003 to raise money for the Nikki Atwell Scholarship Fund to
go to deserving students wishing to advance their education
in the arts. Nikki not only danced, but was an accomplished
singer and performed in many Community Theatre Productions.
She also was a gifted dance teacher .at the Mtn. View
Ballet, Etc. and the Izard County Dance Academy. We miss
her greatly. |
